ILL Service Fees (Charges Apply for Some Users)

In the case of ILL service fees, prepayment is required for all interlibrary loan (ILL) requests. This is done by setting up an account with us in ILLiad. All completed ILLiad requests are charged monthly to credit (MasterCard or VISA only) or University speedtype number you provide to ILL office staff as part of the registration process. We DO NOT ask for credit card numbers in the online ILLiad registration form nor should you provide them. The ILL staff will call you to obtain it as part of the registration process after you submit the ILLiad registration form.

  • Some users are charged $8 for regular service and $18 for rush
  • Others are charged $18 for regular service and $48 for rush
  • Most University users (students, faculty, staff, etc.) receive ILL service at no cost. For complete information, please consult our ILL fees & user type defintions.

About your Username and Password

You will use this Username and Password when logging on to ILLiad in the future to make requests and pickup articles.

Choose anything you like, such as your name, abbreviations, or an alphanumeric code.
Choose anything you like. We recommend that you follow good security practice and choose a password that is different from those you use to access other systems. ILLiad will encrypt your password, so it will remain secure. Only you will know your password.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
